If she sent you some soup then she's done more than the majority of JWs would do. It seems that the person who sent you the soup is simply trying to show that she cares even though she's not supposed to associate with you. Keep in mind that if the elders knew she sent a df'd one some soup they'd be jumping all over her saying that she should have no dealings with you.

Should I be mad?
by kairos ini've been df'd for about six weeks now.no one has broken the obligation to "honor the disfellowshipping decree".that's the way notorious co paul kohler describes the "loving arrangement" that is jw shunning.
( just "serving" napa ).
so, my wife's family has been "loving me" ( barf ) when out of nowhere, one of them sends home homemade soup for me.... well, i got super pissed.

My family has known I'm an apostate

this piece of news is just so depressing.
i've been wondering how my family knew i didn't go and thats why so many of them have becoming more and more distant.

Whatever happens - nuclear war or not - is simply not going to happen the way JWs think it will.
The UN isn't going to be crying out "peace and security". The world's religions are not going to be destroyed; if anything they'll be strengthened. Jesus and his horse riding angels is not going to be coming to save JWs from extinction. The Witnesses will be going on throughout the rest of their miserable lives in expectation of things that will never happen.

August 1980 Kingdom Ministry about Apostasy & Franz resignation
by cabasilas ini was sorting some papers tonight and came across a copy of the august 1980 km which announced the "apostasy against the organization" (a letter from the governing body) and has the notification that raymond franz was no longer a member of the governing body and bethel family.
i remember reading this just as i was making plans to disassociate myself at the same time.
this copy of the km was in some papers that belonged to my mother-in-law (who passed away several years ago).

I was disfellowshipped 3 months after that KM issue as part of the massive "apostasy" witch hunt that started with Ray Franz. I became part of the "phone tree" group (before the internet) of other apostates which included such notables as James Penton, Richard Rawee and Franz himself and I had the privilege of talking to all of them.
That's a memory that will always be with me.
